FLYMETOPARIS x TIPPYTAPP

Tuesday 20 October 2015

Few months ago, Vivian from Fly Me To Paris approached me to do a capsule collection with the brand and I readily agreed.

I had so much fun throughout the entire manufacturing process as this is something I really enjoy doing! It was amazing seeing the samples come to life and picking the colours/fabrics onsite together. The FLYMETOPARIS x TIPPYTAPP collaboration consists of a total of 4 designs which include two dresses, a top and a playsuit!

Shirt-dresses are like the nutella to my bread as they are pretty much essentials in my wardrobe. Hence, FMTP and I designed a girly shirt-dress with rounded collars that is suitable for both work and play! I personally love the concealed buttons which give a neater vibe to the overall look. It comes in White, Navy Blue, Pink and Jade. (link)

For the second dress, I designed a maxi number with a subtle hi-lo hem in a soft and flowy fabric. The way the dress moves in the wind...*heart-eye emoticon* It's so easy to wear and I see myself pairing it with sandals/low heels for a casual weekend! This maxi dress comes in drool-worthy colours like White, Fuchsia, Navy Blue and Forest Green. I brought the White piece to Bali with me and you can see it here! (link)

For a casual get-up, we have the drop shoulder crop top with a rounded collar to stay in line with the theme for our collection. I brought this top to Bali with me because the design is just so apt for a beach getaway and it matches my favourite pair of denim shorts perfectly! You can find this top in Navy, White, Coral Pink and Sky.

Lastly, the fourth design is a drapey kimono sleeved playsuit which I absolutely love! The fabric and design fall so nicely, and is amazingly flattering on the figure. I have already worn it twice in the pictures above, I'm pretty sure it is gonna be a staple in my wardrobe :) The playsuit comes in Black, Periwinkle Blue and Pink.

I hope you girls will like this capsule collection I did with Fly Me To Paris :) You can shop the collection over here!

Guilt-Free Flavoured Sparkling Water from ICE MOUNTAIN

Saturday 17 October 2015

Don't you think that certain food tastes better with an accompanying cup of carbonated drink? I especially loveeeee my spicy food with a gassy drink BUT the moment right before ordering a carbonated beverage, the angel in me won (because health conscious) and before the devil could stop it, I blurt out "a bottle of water please". I used to down cans of Coke when I was ~younger~ but now that I'm in my late twenties, trying to be healthy is constantly on my mind. Especially since I'm not that active, I try to be more conscious about the food I ingest.

I'm pretty sure there are many of us out there who think the same soooo you'll be happy to know that ICE MOUNTAIN, the number 1 brand for bottled water has just launched a new flavoured sparkling water.

Life saviour! Not only does it come in two flavours - grapefruit and lemon, it is also one of the most affordable sparkling water available, at only $1.20 per bottle in supermarkets.

Personally, I love drinking my sparkling water with a slice of lemon for a hint of zest (and also because lemon + water are good for your body) so obviously the ICE MOUNTAIN lemon flavoured sparkling water is my favourite!

I always keep a few bottles chilled so I can get my craving for gassy drinks satisfied whenever I want it. This is my current favourite guilt-free carbonated drink as there's no need to add ice or anything extra to it and it's still as great tasting.

If you prefer something sweeter, the grapefruit flavoured sparkling water is a good alternative to carbonated soft drinks without any added sugar, colouring or artificial sweeteners. It is infused with a hint of fruity flavour and is definitely more exciting than the usual plain (sparkling) water. This certainly keeps my craving for soft drinks at bay ;)

Have I also mentioned? The ICE MOUNTAIN Sparkling Water in both flavours contain ZERO CALORIES unlike most soft drinks which are high in calories and sugar!

So drink up to your heart's content without worrying about additional weight gain or the health issues that will come with soft drinks!

Feels super good and refreshing to be having it in this humidity!

Faire Belle's Classics

Thursday 15 October 2015

I have been feeling unmotivated and uninspired these days so naturally I've been reaching out for the one-piece in my wardrobe. They require no additional styling and I'd wear the outfits as they are and out the door I go.

In this post, I will be sharing some classic one-piece outfits I selected from Faire Belle that will always remain in your closet after every spring cleaning!

I've worn the Faire Belle Lazy Days Shirt Dress on more than one occasion as the design is fuss-free and very easy to wear. Moreover, a blue shirt-dress in pinstripe is a classic colour/design that transcends seasons. This is definitely in the list for the top five essentials for your wardrobe.

Grid/Checkered pieces are always welcomed especially if they are in my favourite monochrome. This loose-fitting playsuit comes in one of my favourite cut, which is shapeless. Not sure if you've noticed but I do appreciate clothes that come without a waistline, a lot. I love my comfy, lazy clothes without having to worry about matching them with the correct underwear. I'm wearing the Carefree Gridded Romper here.

Check out with "tippytapp" when you shop with Faire Belle and get 10% off all regular priced in-stock items. Promotion code ends 15 November 2015.

Our Sweet Escape in Bali

Sunday 11 October 2015

H and I were in Bali last week to attend our friends' wedding (which was so beautiful btw, more on that soon) and since it was just a week after our wedding anniversary, we decided to spend our last evening on a destination photo shoot with Sweet Escape by Axioo. We started the spontaneous photo shoot at Creamy Comfort (Axioo's cafe and office) and stopped for snaps at interesting spots along Seminyak - this area has really pretty cafes/restaurants!

It was my first time to Bali and I have heard so much about this island. Funny how it has never been on my list of go-to places all these years but now I'm yearning to go back there again! And it's true, the most beautiful sunsets occur here and I love beaches like the one we went to in Seminyak. It might not look like it in our photos, but the beach was so crowded (we were there on a Sunday). We are genuinely lucky our frames had no one else in them.

There was a lot of fun and laughters, plus our photographer, Dodo, was a joy to be with, which made the entire photo shoot a breeze. We were all hungry after getting ourselves wet (the waves were huge) so we walked out to the food street and got ourselves grilled corn on a cob (I love it!!!) and Dodo treated us to pork satays where were spicily yummy. And that was a good conclusion to our Sunday. :)
